How to correct data already reported to SES.HOSPEDAJES

A guide to identifying the affected submission, avoiding incorrect cancellations and checking that the final information matches the stay.

In this guide
  1. First, identify the situation
  2. What the official documentation says
  3. Prepare the information before opening the submission
  4. If you need to cancel a submitted report
  5. Finish by checking the result
  6. Official sources

Correcting a guest’s details, changing a booking and cancelling a submitted report are different situations. Before clicking a button in SES.HOSPEDAJES, identify what happened and what information the Ministry received. The aim is for the final result to reflect the actual booking or stay, without accidentally removing other submissions.

  • Identify

    Booking, guest report or batch

  • Prepare

    Original and corrected information

  • Verify

    Reporting outcome

First, identify the situation

Situation What to check before acting
Incorrect guest detail Which field is wrong and which submission contains it.
Changed dates or other booking details The old and new information, and the related submissions.
Cancelled booking What was reported before the cancellation.
Submission sent by mistake The exact reference and whether it belongs to a batch.

Changing your calendar or correcting a guest record in a program does not, by itself, prove that information already submitted has been updated. Also check the outcome of the submission to the official system.

What the official documentation says

Question 26 of the Ministry’s FAQs, updated on 10 August 2026, states that a change to booking details requires a new submission. The official visual guide also documents how to cancel a submitted report. These two points do not mean that every correction must always involve cancelling and resending everything.

Article 6.3 of Royal Decree 933/2021 requires reporting immediately and within a maximum of 24 hours of the booking or contract, its cancellation, and the start of the service, as applicable. Do not wait until the end of the stay to review a change you already know about.

Prepare the information before opening the submission

  1. Find the booking

Find the correct property and booking reference.

  2. Record the correction

Record the previous detail, the correct one and the reason for the change.

  3. Identify the report concerned

Check whether you are reviewing a booking report, a guest report or a batch.

  4. Check the reporting channel

Check whether the submission was made manually or through another program, so that you can follow the procedure for that channel.

If you need to cancel a submitted report

Section 10 of the Ministry’s visual guide, dated 29 August 2025, shows the official cancellation process. Check the organisation and property, find the submission in Mis comunicaciones and select its type. The guide distinguishes managing one submission from managing a batch through the Lotes tab.

Review before confirming

Read the reference and scope of the action before confirming it. If a batch contains several guests, review all of its contents: do not treat it as a single person. Use the current guide if the screens have changed.

Finish by checking the result

After taking action, check the submission status again and compare it with the correction you intended. If a new submission is required, check its outcome too. Keep the reference needed to link the issue to the booking and avoid repeating submissions without knowing what happened to the previous one.

When asking for help, explain the submission type, the action taken and the message received. Avoid sending identity documents or other guests’ data that are not needed to resolve the issue. The official FAQs provide ses.hospedajes@interior.es for technical questions.

If the problem concerns access or submission, also consult our troubleshooting guide. To organise data collection before arrival, explore the online check-in service.
